AMERICAN VAMPIRE vol. 1 by Scott Snyder, Rafael Albuquerque, and Stephen King. THE COMPLETE ESSEX COUNTY by Jeff Lemire. THE WALKING DEAD vol. 11 by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard. TELLING LIES FOR FUN & PROFIT by Lawrence Block.
ART & SKULDUGGERY: The Art of Tony Harris. (This is amazing!)
Take a guess what I'm thinking about this Thanksgiving...
Bad food! And I'll have none of it. I'm even going to bring my own meal so that I can make sure to eat healthy. (And yes, I know that nothing I showed was a traditional Thanksgiving food, but damn did they look tasty.)
My hands hurt. They dry out around the knuckles every winter, crack and bleed and burn. It probably didn't help that tonight I was out pushing carts at work without gloves when temps were in the teens. They are especially sore now.
THE WALKING DEAD is amazing. It has everything you want in a horror series. Tension. Scares. Heart. Guts. In a word: story.
I had hoped it would be as good as the series of graphic novels it was based upon, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's my must watch show of the week. Too bad the first season is only 6 episodes long (we're halfway done). The wait between weeks is tough, but the wait between seasons will be unbearable. The only good news is that the second season is scheduled to be 13 episodes long. I cannot wait.
