Danny Elfman Scores Hellboy 2

This day just keeps getting better and better. First the trailer for 30 Days, and now the news that my favorite composer, Danny Elfman, will score del Toro's Hellboy 2: fantastic! I'm sad about Elfman's falling out with Sam Raimi, but if he's going to find another director to work with - aside from Tim Burton - he can't do much wrong in finding del Toro. Oh, and Hellboy rocks, too. I'll be looking forward to this score!

What happened between Raimi and Elfman? You can't just leave your readers hanging like that... it's cruel! It's your job as the blog writer to inform your collective, not just toy with us... jerk.

Oh dude, that is like so a couple of years ago. They had a falling out during the scoring of Spiderman 2. Raimi brought in 2 other composers (one of whom, Christopher Young, went on to score Spiderman 3, using cues from Danny's first two Spiderman scores) because he felt he needed something better than Danny was giving him. It all blew up, and they aren't collaborative any more. It's a shame because they had a good run of movies together, and Danny's Spiderman 2 soundtrack was very good.
